As Chief of Staff to the President and Vice President for Government and Community Relations, Dr. Beth Del Genio is an integral figure in shaping university policy and ensuring university priorities are realized. The Chief of Staff and Vice President serves as the President’s senior advisor on a wide range of internal and external issues to ensure that presidential initiatives are carried out in support of the university's mission.

Dr. Del Genio also serves as the Office of the President’s primary liaison with the senior leadership of the university, the State University of New York system, the Office of the New York State Governor, the Western New York State Delegation, and the New York State Federal Delegation.

In addition to managing the Office of the President and leading UB’s Government and Community Relations, Dr. Del Genio oversees Presidential Communications, University and Presidential Events, and directs institutional campus policy decisions involving the UB Office of General Counsel.

Dr. Del Genio is an alumna of the University at Buffalo, where she earned her PhD from the Graduate School of Education.
