  • Comments Off on Healing in Community: Wellness Wednesday Grief Group at Intersect Buffalo

Grief looks different for everyone and no one should have to carry it alone.

Intersect Buffalo is proud to introduce Healing in Community, a weekly Wellness Wednesday Grief Group designed to offer a safe, supportive space for individuals navigating loss. This program is offered in partnership with BestSelf Behavioral Health and the Black Mental Health Responds Team, bringing culturally responsive, community-centered care to Buffalo’s East Side.

Healing in Community is a place to pause, breathe, and be surrounded by people who understand. The group is rooted in compassion, connection, and care, meeting participants where they are and honoring each person’s healing journey.

This weekly grief group offers:

  • A safe, judgment-free environment to share and listen

  • Community support from others who understand loss

  • Guided conversation and reflection

  • Tools to help process grief at your own pace

There is no pressure to have the right words. Your presence is enough.

Healing in Community reflects a shared commitment between Intersect Buffalo, BestSelf Behavioral Health, and the Black Mental Health Responds Team to prioritize mental health, emotional wellness, and culturally affirming support. Together, these partners recognize that healing happens best in community—when people feel seen, supported, and respected.
